Reiki Session
Reiki is a traditional Japanese energy healing practice that supports stress reduction and relaxation. Join Kate for an individual reiki session. Sessions are 1 hour and can be conducted in person or virtually.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is the Universal Life force and can be interpreted as chi or universal energy. It is a gentle practice where a Reiki practitioner sends Reiki to you and through you. Kate has trained in the Usui method of Reiki, which was first identified and practiced by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1900’s. The practice is taught and passed down through many traditions. There are multiple Reiki practices and each practitioner may have a unique approach. Click here to learn more about the history of the practice.
What does it feel like?
Recipients may notice sensations like tingling, warmth, cold, and more in their body during or after the session. During the session, the experience feels meditative and clients are often in a meditative state or will fall asleep. Recipients also may process emotions during and after a session. The session is typically quiet and Kate will play Solfeggio based music to relax and support the mind, body, and spirit.
Benefits
Allows recipients to process, acknowledge, and release many emotions
Balances energy in the physical and emotional bodies
Allows your nervous system to rest and restore
Reduces stress and anxiety
Support physical, mental, and energetic growth and shifts — Reiki can be used in partnership with medical treatments or emotional evolution to integrate, process, and receive the benefits of Western medical practices
